This specification covers nickel-chromium-iron alloys (UNS N06600, N06601, N06603, N06690, N06693, N06025, N06045, and N06696) and nickel-chromium-cobalt molybdenum alloy (UNS N06617) in the form of hot-finished and cold-worked rounds, squares, hexagons, rectangles, and cold-worked wire. The material shall conform to the composition limits specified in a reference material. The material shall be uniform in quality and condition, smooth, commercially straight or flat, and free of injurious imperfections. Mechanical properties of the alloys like tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and hardness shall be determined by tension and hardness tests.

This specification covers nickel-chromium-iron alloys (UNS N06600, N06601, N06603, N06690, N06693, N06025, N06045, and N06696) and nickel-chromium-cobalt molybdenum alloy (UNS N06617) in cold-worked annealed, hot-worked annealed, and hot-finished seamless pipe and tube intended for general corrosion resistant and heat resistant applications. The material shall conform to the required chemical composition for nickel, chromium, iron, manganese, molybdenum, cobalt, aluminum, carbon, copper, boron, silicon, sulfur, titanium, niobium, phosphorous, zirconium, yttrium, and cerium. The following test methods shall be performed on the alloys, namely: chemical analysis, tension test, and hydrostatic or nondestructive electric test. The material shall conform to the required mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, nondestructive electric test, and rounding method.
ASME SB829 / ASTM B829 - 04a(2009) Standard Specification for General Requirements for Nickel and Nickel Alloys Seamless Pipe and Tube
This general specification contains the mandatory requirements to the ASTM standards listed herein for seamless pipes and tubes made from nickel and nickel alloys. In case of conflict, the requirements listed in the particular product specification takes precedence over those listed here.
ASME SB517 / ASTM B517 - 05(2009) Standard Specification for Welded Nickel-Chromium-Iron-Alloy (UNS N06600, UNS N06603, UNS N06025, and UNS N06045) Pipe
This specification covers welded, cold-worked, and annealed nickel-chromium-iron alloy (UNS N06600, N06603, N06025, and N06045) pipe for general corrosive service and heat-resisting applications. This specification covers outside diameter and nominal wall pipe in accordance to referenced ASTM and ANSI documents itemized herein. Pipe having other dimensions may be furnished provided such pipe complies with all other requirements of this specification. Pipe shall be made from flat-rolled alloy by an automatic welding process with no addition of filler metal. Subsequent to welding and prior to final heat treatment, the material shall be cold worked either in both weld and base metal or in weld metal only. Pipe shall be furnished with a scale-free finish. When bright annealing is used, descaling is not necessary. The material shall conform to the chemical requirements for nickel, chromium, iron, manganese, carbon, copper, silicon, sulfur, aluminum, titanium, phosphorus, zirconium, yttrium, and cerium. The material shall conform to the mechanical property requirements for tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation. The pipe shall be tested using the following: flattening test, nondestructive test requirements, and transverse guided bend test.

ASTM B163 - 08 Standard Specification for Seamless Nickel and Nickel Alloy Condenser and Heat-Exchanger Tubes
This specification covers seamless tubes of nickel and nickel alloy for use in condenser and heat-exchanger service. This covers outside diameter and average wall, or outside diameter and minimum wall tube. Tube shall be furnished in the alloys and conditions defined by this specification. The material shall conform to the composition limits of nickel, copper, molybdenum, iron, manganese, carbon, silicon, chromium, aluminium, titanium, phosphorus, cerium, zirconium, yttrium, born, cobalt, columblum, tungsten, and nitrogen specified. Tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and Rockwell hardness of the material shall conform to the required mechanical properties set by this specification. Test methods such as chemical analysis, tension, rounding procedure, Rockwell hardness, grain size and hardness conversion shall be performed.
ASME SB516 / ASTM B516 - 03(2009) Standard Specification for Welded Nickel-Chromium-Iron Alloy (UNS N06600, UNS N06603, UNS N06025, and UNS N06045 Tubes
This specification covers the standard requirements for welded nickel-chromium-iron alloy (UNS N06600, UNS N06603, UNS N06025, and UNS N06045) boiler, heat exchanger, and condenser tubes for use in general corrosion resisting and low- or high-temperature services. Tube shall be made from flat-rolled alloy by an automatic welding process with no addition or filler metal and shall be furnished with the oxide removed. The material shall undergo cold working in either the weld metal only or both weld and base metal subsequent to welding and prior to final annealing. The tubes shall be subjected to flattening test to check for superficial ruptures resulting from surface imperfections, flange test, and one of the following nondestructive tests: hydrostatic or pneumatic (air underwater) for leak testing and eddy current or ultrasonic for electric testing. The material shall conform to the chemical composition limits for nickel, chromium, iron, manganese, carbon, copper, silicon, sulfur, aluminum, titanium, phosphorus, zirconium, yttrium, and cerium. Tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation shall also meet the mechanical property requirements.

ASME SB366 / ASTM B366 - 10a Standard Specification for Factory-Made Wrought Nickel and Nickel Alloy Fittings
This specification covers wrought welding fittings, including threaded fittings, for pressure piping, factory-made from nickel and nickel alloys. The term welding applies to butt-welding or socket-welding parts such as elbows, bends, caps, tees, reducers, lap-joint, and stub ends. This specification does not apply to cast welding fittings. Grades of nickel and nickel alloys included in this specification are designated with a prefix, WP or CR, based on dimensional and rating standards. WP grades have class designations (Class S, Class W, Class WX, and Class WU) to indicate whether seamless or welded construction is utilized and to indicate the nondestructive test method and extent of nondestructive examination (such as radiography and/or ultrasonic test). The material for wrought welding fittings may consist of forgings, rods, bars, plates, sheets, and seamless or welded pipe that conform to all the specified requirements. Forging or shaping operations may be performed by hammering, pressing, piercing, extruding, upsetting, rolling, bending, or fusion welding, or by a combination of two or more of these operations. Chemical and product analyses shall conform to the chemical composition prescribed. Requirements for tensile properties, heat treatment, tension test, and dimensions are detailed. Hydrostatic testing of wrought fittings is not required by this specification.
ASME SB564 / ASTM B564 - 10 Standard Specification for Nickel Alloy Forgings
This specification covers nickel alloy forgings. These alloys are classified into different grades according to their chemical composition. A chemical analysis shall be employed on each alloy in order to determine its chemical composition. Grain size and mechanical properties like tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation shall be measured. A tension test and nondestructive ultrasonic test shall be done on each specimen.

The nickel-iron-chromium alloys are UNS N08120, UNS N08800, UNS N08810, and UNS N08811. Alloy UNS N08800 is normally employed in service temperatures up to and including 1100°F (593°C). Alloys UNS N08810, N08120, and UNS N08811 are normally employed in service temperatures above 1100°F where resistance to creep and rupture is required, and are annealed to develop controlled grain size for optimum properties in this temperature range.
